You can see on the screen 6 test items being tested one by one with 23 data come out gradually,
1. Bar to bar resistance (Inter-chip resistance of two commutator bars)
2. Welding resistance (To check the welding quality, the smaller the better)
3. 180° Cross resistance (Bar to bar resistance of commutator which is 180° angle with opposite side)
4. Surge (Between the turns of the coils, comparing waveforms)
5. Isolation resistance (Resistance of the coils and stack core)
6. Hi-pot (High voltage between the coils and armature stack core)

We found that our armature testing machine doesn’t accuses an armature with short circuit,
please check the attached videos.The machine approves a short circuited armature…

From the video we can't see the location of the short circuit,
Is it the short circuit between armature lamination stack and commutator?
or where short circuit,
If short circuit between armature lamination stack and commutator(or hairpin),
In normal condition, the Hi-voltage test can detect and accuses the short circuit,
Looking forward to your further news to evaluate!
Testing machine user feedback:
It is short circuit between lamination stack and commutator.
Even with a simple multimeter it can accuse it but the machine Hi-Voltage test is not working well.

Did you verify the machine Hi-voltage function with short circuit armature?
If the Hi-voltage don't work, the connection might be loose,
Would you please measure if the red wire from the bearing place to board is well connected?
The red wire is realted to Hi-voltage function, please check.
